As a fun exercise to sharpen up my branding skills, I revisited a logo I came up with in the past, Koala Brewing Co.

This brand was an idea for a drink a family member came up with. An alcoholic ginger beer brewed in Australia. 

Looking back on the old logo I came up with, apart from the slight lack of craftsmanship from not many years of experience, I also thought the logo looked quite dated, so I decided to give it a more contemporary look, similar to what is out there in the craft beer scene.

To begin, I created a moodboard with all of my favourite modern drink brand designs as well as some photos of Koalas for inspiration, and then started putting pen to paper to create some initial ideas. Once my favourite idea was chosen, I started work on digitalizing it and selecting the best colour scheme. Finally, to take it a step further, I went into Blender and created a mockup of how it would look on the can.
